Today's recipe is brought to you by Medella superuser @ain.amykamal. Fried bihun is a quick and easy lunch fix in the midst of your busy work-from-home schedule. This recipe features streaky beef for added flavour but feel free to use any meat of your choice!
Ingredients:
- 300gm Brown Rice Vermicelli
- 2-3 slices Streaky Beef, chopped
- 2 tbsp Medella Cooking Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp Blended Onion
- 1 tbsp Blended Garlic
- Carrot
- Cabbage
- Spring Onion
- Himalayan Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 cup water
What you'll need to do:
- Soak Brown Rice Vermicelli for 15 minutes
- In a wok, heat Medella Coconut Cooking Oil over medium heat, add chopped streaky beef, cook until the streaky beef beings to brown.
- Add onions & garlic. Stir well & continue cooking until fragrant.
- Add water & carrot. Simmer until carrot softens.
- Add black pepper & Himalayan salt. Adjust to taste.
- Add brown rice vermicelli & cabbage. Stir to mix everything together.
- Reduce heat & add spring onion. Mix well until the vermicelli absorbed all the liquid
- Ready to serve!
Note: Best served with sliced omelette & chopped chilli with soy sauce.
